We went to Iaria's for the first time on April 2, 2005 and were completely unimpressed. The food is over-rated in our opinion. In addition, the restaurant looks like a diner but has the prices of a top-quality restaurant. We had calamari for appetizer and the Marguerita pizza. The calamari was O.K. at best and the pizza took an hour and the crust was like a cardboard -tasteless and hard - and the pizza had no sauce, a ton of cheese, dried basil, and a couple slices of roma tomatoes. They were nice enough to exchange it for their regular pizza which was better except for the same hard, tasteless crust and for $10.99 I felt it was way overpriced as well. The decor is tacky, not even a cute diner. I can't imagine how this restuarant was voted the number one Italian restaurant in Indianapolis.- Is follow up to post by moneymaker79 ...
